Practice Reflection Session

— Reflect on decisions and actions, and shape the next step —

(1-on-1 | 1 Hour per Session)

Overview

The Practice Reflection Session is a one-on-one session designed to help participants translate the perspectives and themes explored in the Core Sessions into actual decisions and actions.

This session is conducted based primarily on the themes and perspectives covered in the Core Sessions. Participants are invited to apply these perspectives to their own real-life HR and organizational contexts, and to reflect on how they think, decide, and engage in practice.

The session can be used either before or after taking action, with a strong focus on clarifying practical judgment criteria and identifying the next step forward.

Objectives

  • Apply the themes and perspectives from the Core Sessions to real HR and organizational situations
  • Clarify the intent behind decisions and actions, and refine judgment criteria for practice
  • Deepen perspectives to support the next decisions and ways of engagement

Outcomes

  • A clearer understanding of how to apply Core Session learnings to one’s own practice
  • Greater clarity around decision-making and engagement criteria
  • Concrete actions and directions for improvement identified for the next step
  • More intentional and consistent engagement in day-to-day practice

How the Session Works

Before Practice (Pre-action)

Based on an upcoming situation or theme, participants reflect on the topic using perspectives from the Core Sessions to:

  • Organize ways of thinking and engaging
  • Clarify the intent behind planned actions and decisions
  • Review self-developed plans or approaches to engagement

The focus is on increasing the quality and readiness of the planned practice.

After Practice (Post-action)

Participants reflect on actions and decisions already taken, focusing on:

  • What happened and how decisions were made
  • Differences between expectations and actual outcomes
  • Possible adjustments to future judgments and engagement

The session then helps clarify concrete next actions or improvements for future practice.

Pre-work

To make the session effective, participants are asked to prepare a brief overview of the topic they wish to review and be ready to explain it during the session.

This may include:

  • Background and context
  • For pre-action sessions: planned approaches or engagement strategies
  • For post-action sessions: actions taken and key events

The format is flexible.

Notes

  • The session can be taken either before or after practice
  • Multiple sessions may be taken as needed
  • When combined with the Core Sessions, the learning–practice cycle is deepened
